In the summer of 2009 I spent several days working in The Directorate of Republican Archives in Ankara, where I discovered and ordered copies of 140 documents, containing more than 600 pages. These archives deal with the relations between Bulgaria and Turkey in the first quarter of 20th century and more specifically - the period after Balkan wars and WWI. Data about the Bulgarian villages in Northwestern Anatolia are scarce, while events in Thrace region are much better documented. From the beginning of 2010 me and my colleague at "Oriental Collections" department in Bulgarian National Library - Sevdiye Ali have started annotating these materials. The annotations (currently only in Bulgarian language) are going to be released gradually HERE.
